The Intelsat-19 satellite is based on Space System/ Loral’s 1300E high-power platform, which will provide service to high-growth markets around the Pacific rim, including Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and US west coast, from its orbital location of 166 degrees East.
34 Ku-band transponders can be switched between four different footprints that cover Australia, the North West Pacific, the North East Pacific and the South West Pacific regions. 24 C-band transponders will be connected to a high-power footprint that covers Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan and the US west coast.
